Nine Meals from Anarchy

Our lives are punctuated by meals: school dinners, family roasts, picnics in the park, wedding breakfast, funeral wakes. But what happens when the food runs out? As the cost of food grows, and the rest of the world demands its fair share of scarce resources how will our lives change? This is the theme of a play currently being developed by a group of scriptwriters and actors in the Swansea Valley.

Awel Aman Tawe and Peacock Vein ScriptShop have joined forces to present ‘Nine Meals from Anarchy’, a play devised, written and rehearsed in a weekend. In the light of volcanic ash, oil prices and climate change it promises to be a fun, fast-paced, thought-provoking taste of what the future could bring.

Supported by Academi, the Department for Energy and Climate Change, and Pontardawe Arts Centre.
